I bet you’ve never heard of this kind of innovative idea before. PayMaya took another milestone by conveniently allowing money transfers to a fellow PayMaya user through Facebook Messenger at your fingertips. Isn’t that cool, huh?

Send money on PayMaya via Messenger in 3 Steps

    1. Link or create an account
      • Open a chatbox with PayMaya > Click “Menu” > Select “My Money”
      • Select “Link an Account” if you already have a PayMaya account. If not, you can choose to create an account directly from Messenger.
      • Let’s say you already have a PayMaya account. Enter your credentials to link your account.
      • Allow Messenger to access your PayMaya account.
      • Receive a chat message that your PayMaya account has been successfully linked to Messenger.

 

    1. Check your balance. This is an optional step. Whether you may need this or not, it’s better to build the habit of checking your balance
      • Open a chatbox with PayMaya > Click “Menu” > Select “My Money”
      • Select “Check Balance”

 

  1. Send money on PayMaya to your contacts
    • Open a chatbox with your recipient and press the “+” button at the lower-left.
    • Tap “Payments”
    • Enter the amount you want to transfer.
    • Enter your Facebook password to confirm the transaction
    • A confirmation message will be sent via chat and SMS.

There’s more than just transferring money on PayMaya through FB Messenger

Apart from sending money feature on the messenger app, you may also buy mobile load and make a utility bills payment. Before you get excited about these things, sharing you important things you need to know:

  1. Be sure that you are using an updated FB Messenger
  2. Currently available only for Android mobile phones and tablets for this release
  3. Stay tuned for the iOS release late this year
  4. Bonus: You can create a PayMaya account on messenger. You can register any local mobile number you have
